The Irish Road Haulage Association's awards are being relaunched as a stand-alone event with a glittering presentation night in Dublin

Individuals who have contributed to he road transport industry will also be ionoured, with two awards recognising ipecial merit and IRHA council activity.

The awards were launched in 1999, and have previously been presented as part of the IRHA annual conference held each Easter. This year's nominees and winners will receive more publicity than ever, as the event switches to a single evening.This year it is held at the top class hotel where former US President Bill Clinton recently spoke at a conference.

MARTIN WHIN Principal officer with the Road Haulage Division of the Department of Transport since November 2000. Responsibilities include licensing and enforcement Diskin has been a public servant for 23 years.
