• BASF Coatings & Inks says it is taking legal advice following what it claims is a decision by the Lane Group to terminate its national distribution contract with the industrial products supplier a year and a half early.
The shared user contract is to distribute packaged industrial and chemical goods from three BASF division's factories.
On 23 May, Lane told BASF C&I it would stop the contract on 3 June. The Lane Group says: "Regrettably, the Lane Group has not been able to provide an efficient distribution service for BASF C&I on the terms which it required."
