Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Four LGV drivers were stranded underground for nearly four hours after the Channel Tunnel train carrying the men ground to a halt within sight of the end of tunnel at Folkestone.

The two stranded British drivers are Gary Selby, who works for Brown's Transport of New Ash Green, Kent, and Steve Ockenden, who is employed by Sittingbourne operator Fast Forward International.

The two other drivers aboard work for TNT and Spanish haulier Renatra. The delay on Friday 27 May lengthened the journey time from 33 minutes to four and a half hours. According to one of the hauliers, the train shunted forwards and backwards as its brake system software suffered from a fault.
