Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As 1 work in the trailer business I congratulate Commercial Motor on its initiative in listing stolen vehicles and trailers in Crimeline, but it never ceases to amaze me how little information is given. This applies mainly to trailers. Do owners really want their vehicles back I ask myself?

A prime example is the 1218 May edition. An artic loaded with cabbage was stolen from Watford Gap, but other than saying it was a refrigerated trailer, nobody has any idea what else to look for. Does it have two or three axles? what make and size is it? And, most important, what are the chassis and ID numbers? Without this information, the trailer will never be traced through CM.

I keep my own list of stolen trailer numbers copied from information printed in your publication, so please, anybody using this invaluable service—give us all the details.
