• Quick action by the owners of a haulage company in Preston, Lancs foiled a vehicle theft and led to two men being called in for questioning.
Julie and John Hudson of Richards Removers arrived at their company premises in Wrea Green, Preston, on Saturday afternoon, 28 May, to find three men attempting to steal a Daf 95.350. The men fled in a white Range Rover but Julie Hudson managed to note down the registration number. Police have released two men pending further enquiries.
