Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• After clinching its second contract to go through the Channel Tunnel, Railfreight Distribution plans to capture a third of cross-Channel automotive and car transporter business by the end of 1996.

In August Railfreight will start carrying components from Ford's Dagenham factory to Valencia in Spain. Ford says the components will reach the Spanish assembly plant in three days, a day faster than when they went by sea. It will continue to use 25 inhouse trucks to deliver components from its other factories and suppliers to Dagenham for re-loading for rail.

Ford has not yet decided whether to increase its reliance on rail for finished cars. It is waiting to see how successful the Chunnel is in distributing finished cars for Rover between the Midlands and northern Italy—Eurotunnel's first automotive contract, which started last week.
