A .M./ UHF band radio-telephone weighing only 570 grammes has been introduced by Burndept Electronics. The unit consists of a radio-telephone section to which can be fitted alternative heads: the first is a selfcontained trans-ducer unit containing all the necessary controls, the second allows external accessories to be connected, so permitting the unit to be used in a variety of industrial applications.

The radio-telephone is provided with a nickel cadmium rechargeable battery giving 10 hours typical usage. The battery can be charged completely in a 7hr cycle.
