LEGGETT'S TRANSPORT Ltd of Bury Si Edmunds, Suffolk has gone into administration, The company, which employs more than 70 staff, appointed Greg Palfrey and Steve Adshead, from accountancy and business advisory group Smith & Williamson, as joint administrators on 3 July.
Palfrey says: "It is important to stress that Leggett's is carrying on trading while we negotiate a sale."
It is envisaged any purchaser will take on the remaining staff.
Palfrey adds: "Leggett's has been proactive in cutting costs, but that wasn't enough to stave off administration,"
