Himalayans for Jones Cranes: The Scammell Himalayan, complete with a newly designed heavier frame, is now being equipped with the Jones K.L. 11-7 Crane, by the manufacturers of the cranes, K and L Steelfounders and Engineers Ltd., Letchworth, Herts, who have ordered 10 such chassis. The complete units are intended for rightor left-hand drive, and are powered by Leyland 0.680 diesel engines, with five-speed and crawler gearboxes.

More Leylands for Jamaica : Jamaica Omnibus Services has ordered 45 Leyland/MCW Olympic chassisless single-deck buses for use on urban services in and around Kingston. The buses will be 36 ft. long with two-door, 45-seat bodies and standing room for a further 55 passengers, and will be fitted with 0.680 underfloor engines.The new contract brings the value of Leyland buses ordered from Jamaica in recent months to more than E500,000.

Dyson Distributor: Ben Cooper Engineering Co. Ltd., Bridge Motor Works, Claydon, Ipswich, has been appointed official distributor in Suffolk for Dyson trailers and semitrailers.
