F. J. Elnislie. said: "There is no doubt in my mind that the TRTA has doneā€¢ a great deal to improve standards of maintenance and driving on our roads."

At a business meeting which followed, the three areas agreed to set up a permanent liaison committee, with four members from each area, to meet every quarter. Mr. R. Cull, Souffiampton chairman, was elected chairman.

Mr. H. B. Phillips, chairman of the vehicles committee, told members that it was hoped to announce details of the TRTA maintenance scheme shortly.
