rrHE imernational group of the Road 1Haulage Association is making representations ta ItIM Customs and Excise for the renloval of the need to complete form XS 141 in respect of the re-importation of Lancashire Hats and containers employed for Continental traffic.
The group considers that acceptance of its proposals would place fiatsand containers on the same footing as semi-trailers, which are no longer covered by Customs documentation as a result of the abolition of form Xti 29C. It has also emphasized to Customs that adequate identification of FIR containers Used in international haulage is readily available by means of the certificate of appro%aI issued by the Licensing Atithorit s.
