rtA PRELIMINARY report on the Humber bridge scheme is to be prepared for presentation to the Minister of Transport.
A meeting at Hull last week of 60 representatives from 15 local authorities agreed upon this, and reaffirmed that the structure should be a single-span bridge, its cost to be met entirely out of national funds. It was stated that the cost may be more than twice the 1945 estimate of £56m.
