shoppers from nearby villages'? South Shields Chamber of Trade are to investigate this question. air. J. W. Wills has stated that he was convinced that people at Whitburn and Bolton preferred to shop at South Shields hut went to Sunderland because communications were better.
The Chamber are examining the cost of .providing free transport by hired buses, and legal aspects.
