AFINE point of law was involved in ,a case before StornowaySheriff Court. John Mitchell was charged with employing Malcolm Murray to drive a

bris while he was not the holder of a driving licence, or a licence to drive a public-service vehicle, Mr. Mitchell pleaded not guilty.

Murray stated. in ,evidence that he had come into Mr. Mitchell's employment on the day of the alleged offence. and had been warned not to drive the bus until his licences were 'in order. •

Accused stated that he had warned Murray not to drive until he obtained licences. He had given the necessary instructions to another driver to make the run, He was out of town at the time of the offence, and denied, baiting employed Murray to make • the journey.
