Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ON Monday, Tottenham Borough Council staged an official inspection of its new system of dustless refuse collection which has been installed at the council's new housing estate. . It is operated by A.E.C. Monarch petrolengined chassis with Ideal bodies and those present were able to see one of the machines. in use .under workaday conditions. They were impressed with the simplicity of working, and favourably commented on the dustlessness of the system.

It may be recalled that the Ideal body is loaded from the rear into a hopper, and when this is filled with refuse the

body is rotated upwards by a poweroperated tipping screw to an angle of about 110 degrees. In this position the rear hopper is over the main body centre and the load falls some 9 ft. at the first tip and then, of course, by a less amount each time. The process promotes pacldfig by. failing and pounding arid enables 22 cubic yds. of refuse to be accommodated in a 15-cubic yd. container.

At a luncheon which followed, withthe Mayor, Alderman J. H. Morrell presiding, Alderman R. C. Morrison, M.P.. J.P., said that when the system is com plete it could not fail to contribute to a great improvement in the public health servic.e of Tottenham. The Mayor also spoke of the satisfactory results obtained from the system during the few months that it has been established.
