Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LONDON COUNTRY Bus Services Ltd is another National Bus Company subsidiary which has extended the flexibility of garage maintenance facilities by using mobile column lifts to supplement pits.

For over eight months, four Concept Kestrel lifts have been in use at the operator's Addlestone garage in Surrey. The lifts can be used independently to lift axles and gearboxes and other units, and in sets of four to take the place of a pit or normal vehicle lift. They can easily be transported from garage to garage.

A spokesman for LCBS told CM that the lifts can be used at any reasonably level places with three-phase wiring, The lifts can each raise five tonnes and allow complete access to the underside of buses and coaches. They can also be used in conjunction with vehicle support stands if vehicle wheels need to be removed.

The lifts have a great potential for smaller coach operators who may be faced with the need for increased maintenance facilities in the future. The price is about 00,000 per set of four.
