• The annual conference of the Public Transport Association will be held in Harrogate at the Hotel Majestic on May 21/23.
On the second day {Wednesday) a paper will be presented by Mr. L. J. Lickorish, general manager, British Travel Association and on Thursday there will be a paper by Mr. W. E. A. Butcher, traffic manager, Ribble Motor Services Ltd.
• After a lengthy debate last Friday Dundee Corporation approved, by the casting vote of Lord Provost Alex. Mackenzie, an efficiency payment scheme for city transport crews. The scheme gives an increase of 4d an hour or about 13s 6d a week on flat rates. It includes certain improvements in bus running and operating.
