Norfolk-based distribution company Jack Richards and Son has expanded its operations with a new depot in Northwich, creating 12 new jobs.

The company's new site has been set up near to the M6 corridor to cope with its regular runs between East Anglia and the North-West.

The bulk haulage firm specialises in food and agricultural goods; it has invested more than Elm in the 4.85-acre depot, which includes 1.000m2 of dry storage space. A fleet of 30 tractive units and trailers will be based there.

Operations director Anthony Richards says: Our new depot at Northwich will provide us with the ideal location for our main customer operations in a growth area that has many opportunities."
