II Nem Ford is transferring 42 employees to Hays Distribution as part of a five-year £200m contract in which Hays will deriver parts across Europe.

The staff are currently based in lveco's chain of warehouses but the transfer will be phased over the next year beginning in January 2000 as part of lveco's aims to improve efficiency.

This is the seventh regional consolidation centre run for B&Q by Hays and it will create 200 jobs. Hays' first contract to operate FICCs for B&Q started in March 1999.
