M&M Haulage Services

M&M HAULAGE Services has been granted authorisation for two vehicles and two trailers at a site in Ayton Road, Seamer, Scarborough, subject to the following undertakings: • a training programme related to driver walkaround checks, drivers’ hours and tachograph use will be provided by an independent transport consultant or body and completed by the drivers within one month of the interim licence being granted; • Nicholas Mudd will not have any dealings with the day-to-day running of the limited company and O-licence; • the irm will obtain a full audit from a reputable transport consultant or body, which will cover all systems and include the company’s compliance with the undertakings given in the application. The audit will include compliance with the drivers’ hours and tachograph legislation. The audit will be submitted to the central licensing ofice with the operator’s proposals for implementing its recommendations.

CLIPPER LOGISTICS Group wants the go-ahead to have 30 vehicles and the same number of trailers at a site in Wynyard Avenue in Wynyard, Billingham.

Barrowcliffe

BARROWCLIFFE HAS been given the green light to base six vehicles at a facility in Hooton Street, off Carlton Road, Nottingham, subject to undertakings: • goods vehicles shall be instructed, and assisted, to arrive and leave in forward gear; • goods vehicles shall not be accepted for delivery before 5.30am and will not be allowed to wait next to the operating centre before this time with donkey engines running; • goods vehicles shall not be washed down or swept out in the road and efforts shall be made to clear any fallen produce daily; • vehicles shall park within the curtilage of the operating centre when not in use and they shall not be parked, loaded or unloaded on Hooton Street; • refrigerated goods vehicles shall not be parked with donkey engines running.

John G Russell (Transport)

JOHN G Russell (Transport) can base six vehicles and 12 trailers at the Scania GB centre on the Altens Industrial Estate in Aberdeen.

Menzies Distribution

MENZIES DISTRIBUTION has been allowed to station three vehicles and one trailer at a site in Fullarton Drive on the Glasgow East Investment Park. The company can also base four trailers at the TMP Saltire facility in Fifty Pitches Place in Cardonald Park, Glasgow.

• Sunderland-based Harkers Transport will appear at a PI on 14 August and disciplinary action will be looked at. The repute of the transport manager will also be examined.

• On 14 August a PI will discuss disciplinary action against TEF Transport, based in Scarborough. The firm will also make a new application and variation application.

• The TC will look at disciplinary action against Ward Brothers (Malton), based in Middlesbrough, on 22 August.

• A PI on 28 August will look at disciplinary action against Flamborough Heavy Haulage, based in Bridlington.

Edinburgh

• At a PI on 13 August, the TC will consider a new application from Katharine Ross trading as Scotia Town and Country, based in Bridge of Weir.

• A PI on 28 August will consider possible disciplinary action against Whitehill Builders, based in Cowdenbeath.
