The Foden S108 with the same engine, tyres and wheelbase and a Fuller RT 7609 nine-speed gearbox weighs 7,817kg, with 9.5Iit (five gallons) of fuel, oil and water. This is a full 297kg lighter than Seddon Atkinson. Additional weight can, of course, be saved by using the lightweight specification options available from Foden.
