Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Overnight parcels company, Independent Express, has opened a new, purposebuilt 22 million operational hub building at Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton.

The new hub, which is the company's third in only three years operation, is located near the Ml, providing the company with improved transit times.

At current capacity, it can deal with 36 trucks at any one time, although there is room on the 2 hectare site for further growth if required. Independent plans to build a new headquarters building at the site, which should be completed by the end of the year. Up to 120 people will work at the hub when the headquarters building is completed.

Managing director, Mick Egan, says, "This building is tangible evidence of the fact that opportunities do still exist in Britain today for businesses to establish themselves and grow, given the right sense of direction and purpose."

Unlike many parcels companies, Independent Express has chosen to use a manual sorting operation at the new hub. This is because the company operates at the heavier end of the market, using either palletised or custom containers, which do not lend themselves to computerised sorting.
