Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Capable of detecting low concentrations of a wide range of toxic and explosive gases, the COSmoke alarm is intended mainly for detection of carbon monoxide.

But models will also detect chlorine, ammonia, petrol, solvents and LPG.

Basic alarm accepts three detectors, though an adaptor panel will accept 16 inputs. Visible or audible alarms are used, and the equipment runs from normal mains supplies.
