RALPH HILTON, 50, the founder and former chairman of Ralph Hilton Transport Services, was further remanded on £10,000 bail when he appeared at Wells Street magistrates' court last week, charged with conspiracy.

Mr Hilton, of Cricket Ground Road, Chislehurst, Kent, is charged with conspiracy, publishing false accounts and intent to defraud on various dates between August 1 and October 31 1972.

Appearing with Mr Hilton, John Skinner, 48, former company secretary for Ralph Hilton Transport Services, was charged with conspiracy and falsifying copy invoices relating to haulage fees. Mr Skinner of Plymouth Drive, Sevenoaks, Kent, was remanded on bail of £2,000 until October 14.
