Special consideration had to be given to the design of the overhanging cantilever roof to the loading bay so as to provide not only adequate clearance for a continental tilt trailer, but also to give sufficient cover in inclement weather to permit loading and unloading to continue.

The workshop is provided with two separate tiled pits and comprehensive garage equipment to permit both maintenance and major repairs to be undertaken. Fuel stocks include 2.000 gal, of fuel oil and 500 gal. of petrol.
