AN improved version of the Bristol Model 303V automatic air compressor has been introduced by Bristol Pneumatic Tools Ltd., Causeway Works, Fishponds, Bristol. This model is specially designed for . the smaller workshop requiring a more rapid dispensation of air than is possible with a portable tyre inflater.

The new unit has a vertical air reserVOir with a capacity of 1.75 Cuft. and it has been streamlined for greater compactness. A Bourdati-type pressure gauge, safety valve, drain cock and a service valve are fitted. Mounted on top of he air receiver is the 2-5 c.f.m. air compressor fitted with a large-capacity aftercooler . and condensate trap and direct-coupled to a 0-5 h.p. electric motor _ available for all voltages on a.e. or d.c. current. Operation of the Model 303V is fully automatic and is controlled by an air-pressure switch which stops the motor at 150 p.s.i. and restarts it when the pressure drops to 125 psi.
