Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE accepted method Of providing economical, long-term corrosion protection of iron and steel is by applying a coating of an anodic metal such as

zinc or aluminium. A new gun for flame-spraying metals used in this type of anti-corrosion work has been introduced by Metco Ltd.. Chobham, Surrey.

Known as the Metco 7E gun, it is claimed that this new model is the most efficient and productive equipment now available for the high-speed application of zinc and aluminium coatings. Major features incorporated in the gun are a push-button feed control which stops and starts the wire feed, enabling the gun to " idle " when not directly in front of the component being sprayed, and a patented jet-syphon plug which balances fuel gas and oxygen flow against normal line fluctuations and meters the gases in the exact quantities required, The metal to be flame sprayed is drawn into the rear of the gun and fed to the gas head by ark air motor. Forced-feed lubrication is employed at all appropriate. points. Another feature is that a universal gas head allows the use of any fuel gas and fan-spray air caps can be fitted to give maximum productivity when spraying flat surfaces_
