Minister of Transport has aalized the scheme fixing the route last 10 miles of motorway forme Midland motorway links.
new route will provide a connecbetween M.5 south of Quinton s) and the M6/M1 link at Great just north-west of Birmingham. ts at a point just south of Quinton, tins generally northward to Hurst where it turns north-west to Oldthen northward, crossing Wolyeron Road (A4123) and Birmingham (A457) at Anchor Bridge. The then runs generally eastward, I on viaduct over the Waiveron and Birmingham levels of the igham Canal, until again turning yard to cross the south-east corner mrick Park, continuing over the Birmingham road (A41) to its junction with M6.
Access to the motorway from existing roads will be restricted to two junctions to be provided where the motorway crosses the Wolverha mpton road (A4123) and the A41.
