"But," Mr. Muir, "I must warn you that v of your record it is very unlikely esh application would be granted." warning was given to Mr. D. R. ins, of Streatham Vale, who had called to show cause why two es on A licence held by his father, 1. J. Hawkins, of the same address, I not be struck off under Section of the Road Traffic Act, 1960. valid objection being raised, the es were struck off. The licensee nrmitted use of the vehicles for ng coal, coke, asbestos and other s in London. Manchester. Avon

mouth and the Home Counties.

Mr. Muir told Mr. Hawkins that he understood the vehicles had not been used or been in the possession of the licence holder for some time.

Explaining that the vehicles had been sold, Mr. Hawkins said that his father had been ill for three or four years.

"He left things to me and my brother but we fell out," said Mr. Hawkins. They had been unable to get any concrete proposal from their father with regard to the future of the licence, he added.

Asked about two vehicles not on the licence, but which were being used, Mr. Hawkins replied that he thought his father had intended transferring them to the A licence and that he had filled out an application form with that in mind.

Mr. Muir commented that it was all very irregular and ordered the vehicles to be struck off the licence.
