£240m. which the Exchequer is to provide in the next four years for road works.
Mr. J..S. Maelay, Secretary of State for Scotland, said last week that this sum would include provision for the Forth road bridge, the second Whiteinch tunnel, completion of the reconstruction of the Glasgow-Stirling road, continuation of the reconstruction of the Glasgow-Carlisle road and other schemes under the crofter counties programme.
