THE DIRECTOR OF the liquidated firm Startruck Logistics has set up a new company on the south coast called Harbour Transport.

Startruck Logistics ceased trading on 9 March and cites changes in its banking terms as well as £50,000 debt from four collapsed clients as the reasons behind its liquidation.

Terry Evans of Southampton-based Rogers Evans was appointed as liquidator for the Poole, Dorset-based Startruck on 2 April. Of 17 staff made redundant, 11 were drivers, and David Bulk, the managing director, confirms more than £116,000 is owed to 58 trade and expense creditors.

Harbour Transport was set up in Broadstone on 12 March, and David Crookes, Startruck's traffic manager, joined as a director on 31 March. Buik says he is confident about the firm and has applied for a new 0-licence.
