Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Christopher Walton INDEPENDENT haulier LE Jones, based in North Wales, has had its 0-licence revoked but says that it will "definitely" appeal the decision.

A spokesman for the Traffic Commissioner's office confirmed to Commercial Motor that both LE Jones Ltd and LE Jones International Ltd will have their 0-licence revoked with effect from 11.59pm on 3 May for tachograph offences.

Trefor Jones, transport manager for LE Jones International his good repute as a director and transport manager; and David Hughes, transport Ltd, lost manager at LE Jones, lost his good repute as a transport manager following the decision by Miles Dorrington, Deputy Traffic Commissioner for the West Midlands and Wales.

Hughes tells CM: -We have already appealed. We are trading as normal and would like to emphasise that to our customers."

Last year both companies had fines totalling £19,000, for a combined 19 offences covering tachograph and drivers' hours rules, slashed to £5,680 following an appeal. They had pleaded guilty to the offences before Wrexham magistrates. The case followed a VOSA examination of tachograph charts during the summer of 2007 Ruthin-based LE Jones holds a standard national 0-licence for 40 vehicles and 105 trailers while LE Jones International holds one for 30 vehicles and 50 trailers.

Twenty drivers with vocational driving entitlements were called to a separate driver conduct hearing where Dorrington found that they were all unlit to hold an HGV driving licence.
