Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Ampler' House, 4 Holywell Road, Watford, Herts.

THE Planomatic range of equipment is one of the widest in the country and has been designed to enable the best possible solution to any progress-charting problem to be obtained. Models made include figure meters, strip planning boards, deep channel document boards, rotatable continuous planners, card holders and peg sections.

Where numbers are to be shown for the most part, the Planomatic Figure Meters can provide a useful service. Wall units can be assembled to any requirement using components which clip together in a similar way to a child's construction kit. The basis is a small revolving disc embossed with numbers which can be provided mounted in a plastics moulding to show a strip of numbers through a "window" or as individual components which can be clipped together.

The Strip Planning Board produced by Planomatic is suitable for a wide range of applications including vehicle maintenance. The boards are made of steel and a standard pack comprises two panels and a matching title section for mounting at the left-hand side. Each panel measures 500mm by 500mm and carries 33 strip channels. The panels can be assembled to each other using a special locking system.

Where original documents are used for planning purposes the Planomatic Deep Channel Document Boards provide the answer. These are available in several depths of channel to accommodate a wide range of document sizes such as loading slips, job cards, stock cards and so on.

Similar facilities but using standard-size T-shaped cards are given with Planomatic Card-Holder Boards. Standard, light steel sections are slotted to carry the cards and these are available in two widths-70mm and 110mm—and in two heights-500mm and 1000mm. To suit varying requirements for the amount of card showing above the slot, Planomatic provides for card visibilities of 10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 30mm. Sections can be supplied individually for mounting direct to a wall or on to a simple board. The sections can also be supplied complete with mounting frames.

Peg-board sections supplied by the company have the name Peggochart 360 which consist of metal panels on which are -mounted moulded plastics sections. The sections measure 2.25in. wide by 9in. high and have 144 holes. A standard panel carrying two rows of 13 sections provides a charting area of 48 lines of holes downwards and 78 holes across. Sections can be set up in a fixed condition or mounted for individual removal for traversing and a complete range

of chart pegs and chart lines, signals, etc, is available.

With the Rotateable Continuous Planner from Planomatic work programmes can be built up using felt pens or Chinagraph pencil, magnet or adhesive strips directly on to a continuous transparent plastics band which traverses the board in either direction across a fixed graph background and alongside a fixed title panel. These units are suitable for a wide range of applications, two sizes being made one suitable for 16-week operation and the other one a 52-week planner (in each case 10mm spacing is provided for each day).
