Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A THERMAL EFFICIENCY in excess of 80 per cent is claimed for the airand gas-fired air heaters produced by this company for the

heating of garages, offices, showrooms, stores and spray shops. The outputs of the heaters range from 150,000 Btu /hr to 1,600,000 Btu /hr and models are available in floor-standing and suspended versions. The control box is equipped with a flamefailure device and a time switch may be specified.

Floor-standing oil-fired air heaters are produced in 10 models covering the quoted range of outputs and having standard heated air outputs of 1500 cu ft/min to 16,000 cu ft /min, versions with higher and lower outputs being available for special applications. Average fuel consumptions vary from 0.57 gal /hr to 7.72 gal /hr (based on a weather factor of 0.56) and maximum consumptions from 1.2 gal /hr to 12 gal /hr. These models have from four to 12 adjustable outlets.

Outputs of the three models of suspended oil-fired air heaters are from 150,000 Btu /hr to 300,000 Btu /hr, while heated air outputs range from 1500 cu ft /min to 3400 cu ft/min and average fuel consumptions from 0.67 gal /hr to 1.28 gal /hr, maximum consumptions varying from 1.2 gal /hr to 2.3 gal /hr. The three models each have four adjustable nozzles.

The 10 floor-standing gas-fired models have rated outputs covering the full range of outputs quoted, the standard heated air outputs being from 1500 Cu ft/min to 16,000 CU ft/min. Gas consumption in therms /hr is from 1.1 to 10.5 (average) and from 1.9 to 18.5 (maximum) based on a weather factor of 0.56, and the number of adjustable outlets varies between four and 12.

Having similar ranges of heat and heated-air outputs as the suspended oil-fired heaters, the suspended gas-fired models have an average gas consumption of 1,1 therms /hr to 2.2 therms /hr, maximum consumption varying between 1.9 therms /hr to 3.8 therms/hr. Four adjustable outlets are fitted to each of these models.
