nNE of the most ambitious vehicle endurance runs to be carried out by a British manufacturer is due to be started by the Ford Motor Co. Ltd. with three of the new D-series goods models on April 23. The convoy will travel through Belgium, Germany, Czechoslovakia and Russia, its final destination being Sochi on the Black Sea.
The total distance 'covered will be approximately 3,166 miles, and from Kiev onwards the vehicles will be accompanied by a party of British and European journalists. From Kiev to Sochi will take five days and the distance covered will be 1,564 miles.
After the run the convoy will tour the main commercial-vehicle using countries of Europe, where it will be shown to government officials and others. The total distance covered by the time it returns to England in July will be more than 10,000 miles.
