Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANNOUNCED recently by the International Harvester Co. of Great Britain. Ltd., Harvester House, London, E.C.1, the Anthony-Hamilton LoaderDozer is now in production. The equipment is manufactured by Anthony Hoists, Ltd., 170 Piccadilly, London, W.1, for exclusive use with International BTD-6 and BT-6 tractors.

Mounted on the rear pivots of the tractor, the Loader-Dozer consists of a combined bucket and chute attached to an A-frame. The bucket has a struck

capacity of 2 cu. yd. and its width of 5 ft. 62 in., being greater than that of the tractor, enables the tractor to make its own road. Power is applied through dual hydraulic lift cylinders of 6i-in. diameter, working at a pressure of 325 p.s.i.

The bucket is loaded during the forward travel of the tractor, the rams then lifting the bucket up and over the driver's head while the tractor is being reversed to the unloading point. An automatic tripping action tilts thc bucket at the end of its rearward movement, discharging the load, and the shovel is then lowered by power while the tractor is driven forward again. The bucket may also be held in any raised position to give the driver full visibility and can be balanced in this position when traversing rough ground.

Being mounted on a crawler tractor, the LoaderDozer is highly manceuvrable and is capable of working over rough terrain and on steep slopes. The shovel may be lowered to 10 in. below ground level, and in place of the shovel an angledozer blade !nay be fitted.

The advantages of this type of loader are that loading and unloading can be carried out without the need for turning the tractor, and the high discharge position permits unloading directly into hoppers, lorries or railway wagons.
