THE Leighton Buzzard group of British Road Services has been purchased by Fredk. Ray, Ltd., Bedford. The unit comprises 22 vehicles, most of which are six-wheelers and eight-wheelers, and premises. Mr. H. G. Pentus Brown and Mr. A. E. Ft. Dawson are joint managing directors.

Mr. Brown has on his own account bought three units, which will be employed on general haulage. They are units 253 (a Bedford 6-tonner and a Maudslay 8-tonner), 598 (a Foden 14-ton eight-wheeler and a MorrisCommercial 2-tonner), and 1525 (two Dennis 8-tonners).

New purchases notified by the Western Licensing Authority are by Mr. F. G.
