AS IF producing CM wasn’t exciting enough, last Friday (2 September) we had to contend with having our offices invaded by a Channel 4 film crew.
Using our researching skills (ie asking the nice catering lady), CM discovered the crew were shooting that “well-known” E4 comedy The Phone Shop. A quick straw poll found only one of the CM team had heard of the show, which focuses on the troubles of young people working in a high street store.
Not particularly exciting, CM knows, especially as there wasn't a single celebrity to be seen, particularly upsetting for one member of staff hoping for a fleeting glance of the handsome Kayvan Novak (Phonejacker, Four Lions), who had a 10minute cameo in the first series.
CM was more interested in the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter used to transport the kit (pictured), a reminder that without road transport there’d be no “lights, camera, action!”.
