Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DIXONS RETAIL has launched a national campaign to recruit owner-drivers to deliver and install consumer electronics under its new Knowhow brand.

Knowhow is the delivery arm for high-street chains such as Currys and PC World. It was created last autumn, but Dixons only began marketing it earlier this year.

The group is now recruiting operators with an O-licence for up to three vehicles to join it as franchisees. The model, based around two-man crews, will see successful applicants trained to deliver and install products using vehicles from 3.5 to 7 tonnes. Core vehicles are supplied by Dixons, although franchisees will be expected to provide additional vehicles as required.

Payment is in the form of an annual fee based on deliveries to be made in the franchisee’s assigned sector, as well as a ixed-drop rate depending on each delivery type and the option for a target-driven bonus.

Chris Georgiou, transport operations manager, says: “We are looking for franchise operators with a passion for customer service to help us deliver a great business.” For more information, email inhouserecruitment@ dixonsretail.com
