Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

For Isuzu, the 7.5-tonne sector remains the most important and according to SMMT registrations the company has moved to third in the country, but there is a caveat, says Keith Child.

“There were a total of 9,421 registrations at 7.5-tonnes in 2007. Last year the country registered only 4,444, that’s a drop of almost 5,000 units and a decline of 53%. In 2007 we had a 9% share of the 7.5-tonne market and today we have around 14%, so we are relatively happy with our performance,” he says. In the mid-weight sectors (7.51 tonnes to 18 tonnes) Isuzu has a strong presence and has half the marketshare at 11 tonnes.

“We planned a 20% increase in sales volumes across the board for 2011 compared to 2010, and at the beginning of this year we were well on track to achieve this growth,” says Child.
