Next, John Coiner, product manager for UK and Ireland at Volvo Trucks, will explain all the legislation coming out of Brussels that affects thc trucks you run now and will run in the future including the new Euro-5 emission regs, vehicle stability control systems and other items planned in the EC road safety programme. He'll also be talking about what the latest headlamp aim tests from VOSA mean.
After a short break, we'll look at how to solve the problems of working at height and reducing accidents involving HGVs with Phil Murphy, network operations director at the Royal Mail.
He'll be bringing along the Royal Mail's thought-provoking Safety Concept Artie (CM 21 May) to provide a practical demonstration on how to keep drivers out of harm's way.
