PW Gates makes switch from Pallet Network to Pallet-Track

WELWYN GARDEN City-based PW Gates has left The Pallet Network (TPN) after seven years to join Pallet-Track.

The haulier says the decision was fuelled by Pallet-Track being able to offer a more consolidated postcode range AL, EN and NW compared with the bulk of its work with TPN in north London.

It also claims that there is more scope for volume growth.

We are running 15 miles to get to our first delivery area, so we are not doing as many miles as we once were, and we are also handling more pallets,' PW Gates business development director Chris Lynch says.

The firm is taking delivery of new Pallet-Track liveried curtains for its trailers, and says that on the back of joining the network, several new customers have already been won.

Pallet-Track managing director Nigel Parkes says: Over the past six weeks, volumes have really been growing, and we don't expect a slowdown."
