the ball rolling for a three-day, 1,260Iun national treasure hunt organised by Cartransport. 'Search 87' will raise money for 'BEN' the Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund.
Cartransport has set itself a target of raising at least £5,000 through the first staging of what will hopefully become an annual affair. The Volvo contribution — the first of around a dozen expected soon from teams representing major motor industry companies — makes the target look within easy reach. The donation was made because Volvo itself will be unable to enter a team due to prior commitments.
