• Ford is today (Thursday) launching a special edition of its Escort van, called the Laser. It features a two-tone colour scheme and is fitted with Ford's 1600cc lean burn 67kW engine.
There are two colour choices; Diamond White and black, or Rosso Red and black. External door mirrors are finished in the upper body colour and the bumpers are finished in the same black as the lower body.
Ford hopes that the van will appeal to the 'single owner' business user, and has priced the vehicle at £5,891.52 plus VAT — 2144 more than the 1,400cc Escort 1.4L.
