Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Isuzu plans this month to launch a commercial version of its well-received Trooper cross country vehicle.

The new Trooper Commercial differs little from the shortwheelbase 2.3-litre Turbo Diesel passenger model on which it is based, apart from the absence of side windows and rear seats.

Mechanically too, the vehicles are very similar. The 55kW (74hp) Trooper Commercial has the same fourwheel-drive transmission as the passenger model, but with manually-operated freewheeling front hubs, independent front suspension, and power steering.

The Trooper has a 1.82m3 loadspace, carrying capacity of 780kg, and a GVW of 2,300kg. Isuzu expects the Trooper Commercial to appeal to owners who regularly use their vehicles for towing. Towing weights are 3,000kg (braked) and 500kg (unbraked), but there are no plans as yet to introduce a long-wheelbase Trooper Commercial.

The Commercial costs 28,600 plus VAT, and a Heavy Duty Pack is available which includes headlamp power wash and rear wheel splash guards for 2320 plus VAT. Isuzu expects the Commercial to account for 15% of Trooper sales. There are no plans to show the Trooper Commercial at the Scottish Show.
