Edrope's first four-lane auction hall allowed Manheim Auctions to offer m re than 700 light CVs at Colchester. Kevin Swallow reports.
s CM went to press Manheim Auctions was embarking on what it described as the "world's largest CV auction" using w four-lane sales hall at Colchester. her CV auctioneers might disagree, but the 00-plus vehicles offered on Wednesday 7 Novmber is certainly an impressive throughput, and the addition of the four-lane sales hall at C lchester's 52-acre auction centre will imp ove capacity to more than 170,000 vehi les a year.
A exWright, Manheim Auctions sales dire tor for commercial vehicles, says: "Co mercial vehicle buyers often travel great dist nees to attend auctions and purchase stoc . Our new four-lane development will its n 0 offer these customers more vehicles under one roof on the same day than ever before, which will maximise their time and productivity."
The sale was also broadcast on the internet via Manheim Live! for trade buyers who were unable to get to Colchester but wanted to bid for and buy stock.
