• Whitbread has added the latest Cargo model, the Cummins LTA 10-290 powered 3828 tractive unit, to its fleet of over 160 Cargos used for delivery across the country.
Provided by Iveco Ford's Special Vehicle Operations unit, the vehicle will operate at maximum weight, coupled to a tri-axle curtain sided semi-trailer, for 80% of the time trunking bottled and Keg beers and 20% with a bulk tank semi-trailer at 32.52 tonnes.
Its driveline combination of Eaton 12 speed Twin Splitter transmission and Rockwell 4.56:1 rear axle gives a geared speed of 114krriih.
Under bumper air dam and roof mounted air deflector combine with an Econocruise road speed limiter to improve fuel economy.
The Jost fifth wheel gives a loading height of 1.3m and the vehicle specification includes Gran Girling Skidchek anti-lock braking.
