ARDENVALE Tours of Solihu West Midlands, have fitted thri of their B58 Volvo coaches wi. Fidus top-speed governors. The device controls a coaches' maximum road speK to 110km/h (70mph) which claimed to lead to improved fu consumption and reduced ty wear.
Among the features of tf governor are a solid sta1 electronic probe aimed at tf propshaft boltheads whic should eliminate th breakdowns sometimes expe ienced with mechanical cabli operated devices.
The control box is preset to maximum speed specified t the coach operator which cann( be altered by the driver. Engin revs and performance in ir termediate gears are nc affected.
