MEY Roadstone Corporation Id has taken delivery of a 6x4 eyland Super Mastiff which has een converted from leaf prings to Norde Rubber Susension.
This follows on from Leyland's pproval of Norde Solid Rubber uspension for the Clydesdale. Spring breakage and shackle in wear are major problems for rnpanies like ARC and it has een looking at ways of reducig downtime and cutting mainman ce costs.
Though relatively light weight rthodox leaf springs are fitted ) the Super Mastiff, the fitment f the Norde units has not added ) unladen weight.
Norde claims that because its Jspension units are virtually laintenance-free and require no ibrication, they should last mger than the rest of the ehicle chassis.
The company also points out let suspension problems are mong the top ten most cernion reasons for rejection at Deartment of Transport test staons.
