Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ADENNIS reruse-collecting vehicle forming a recent delivery to Henley Rural District Council incorporates many practical features which not only simplify and ease the work of the crew, but cut down the overall time of picking up, and dumping at the disposal point.

Of 10-cubic-yd. capacity, the machine is of standard pattern and has a doubletype cab providing accommodation for five loaders in addition to the driver. The wide doors and low floor level make for easy exit and entry. The whole cab can be detached and the engine lifted out in less than an hour. Quick and easy disposal of the refuse is made possible by the full-width double doors, in conjunction with

hydraulic gear, gives a tipping angle of 45 degees.

Mounted on top of the vehicle, and running along the full length of the body, is a capacious salvage rack, which is reached by two steps on each side of the body.

Another recent Dennis delivery is a cesspool-emptier, to Market Bosworth Rural District Council. It is the first of its type to be fitted with the Dennis double-type cab to accommodate five loaders in addition to the driver. In certain areas the work of cesspool emptying is combined with the collection of night soil.

The capacity of the cesspool-emptier is 800 gallons, and for the collection of night soil there is, at the rear of the vehicle, a subsidiary tank. The opening of an inter-communicating valve, when the main tank is under negative pressure, results in the contents of the subsidiary tank being drawn into the main tank.

The rotary-type air pump, with cab control, is provided with the Dennis two-way reversing valve, so that the pump may be used as an exhauster, or compressor, as may be required. Provision is made for carrying 200 ft. of suction hose in metal boxes arranged on each side of the tank.

London Corporation has recently purchased two Dennis gully-emptiers with respective capacities of 800 gallons and 1,000 gallons, specially equippedfor night work.

Special lighting equipment consists of a floodlamp, attached to the near-side rear corner of the cab, which is intended to illuminate the area surrounding the gully. In addition, there is an adjust. able spot light mounted on the suctionvalve body. It is shaded to prevent dazzle, and its purpose is to direct a beam of light into the gully.

On each side of the vehicle there are fresh-water pipes and, on the near side, there is a step on which the gully man can travel when stops are frequent.
